Con Lynch

OUR HISTORY

Our founder, Con Lynch, conceived and developed Insight Business Transitions from 35 years of estate and business planning as well as his own very personal family ranch experience. The three-generation ranch he was raised on did not survive into the fourth generation due to a number of factors, including premature death of the major operator, lack of communication among family members and incomplete strategic planning.

The sale of the ranch, instead of its transfer to the next generation, inspired Con to create the concepts and processes of Insight Business Transitions. Today he takes pride in helping other farm and ranch businesses plan for the future so their businesses can continue to be a source of pride and economic support for many future generations.

OUR SERVICES

The Insight Approach™ combines an understanding of your unique business processes, history, and relationships to develop a clear path to your future. We help find practical and mutually satisfying options customized to your specific business transition situation.

Using our proven approach, we help you focus on your ideal future, avoiding expensive, divisive and stressful legal conflicts.

We work alongside you and your trusted advisors, assuring that your direction is clear and your plans are implemented.

In pre-Christian Ireland, Stones of Accord were used to create a contract or agreement between individuals by shaking hands through the hole in the stone.

The concept of “accord” in relationships is paramount and the foundation of the Insight Approach™. We include the input and insights of multiple players involved in your business. Taking into account their specific views and comments, we are able to look forward and be proactive in planning for your future.

The Stone of Accord Transition Program™ combines five key phases with our proprietary tools to help us prepare a comprehensive plan for your business.

To continue to be successful, you must create habits that allow you to evaluate your progress and adjust accordingly.

The Successful Habits Program™ helps businesses continue the success of their previous planning through ongoing support.

In this program, we provide updates for the business on a one-on-one basis by conducting speed updates for our previous recommendations and planning. These updates often occur annually, or more frequently if a business has immediate needs or issues and serves as an opportunity for your business to meet regularly to refresh your milestones and planning.

Our annual Future-Proof Seminar™ is designed to help you anticipate and plan for economic and business trends that we foresee. Attending this seminar will allow you to continually plan for the complex and rapid changes in your economic and business environment.

We choose to work with Con Lynch at Insight Business Transitions because he is insightful and trustworthy. He knows exactly how to transition our family farm to the next generation. After 25 years as an auto dealer I was feeling burnt out and truly ready to make a change. Con Lynch is visionary, and Insight Business Transitions made a pivotal impact in bringing our business to a whole new level!

– Patsy Hall, Hall Motor Company

Because we were working inside the business, years went by before we realized that we’d grown to the point where we had value we wanted to protect. Working with Con Lynch and Insight Business Transitions is more than just looking at the future, it gave us sustainable practices that help give us stability in the present.

– Carroll Unruh, Oregon Beverage Services

The biggest difference the Insight Business Transition process made for our business was realizing the need for better communication. We continue to work on this issue, but I am pleased that we all had our eyes opened to the absolute necessity of good communication.
